Plain Tasty Macaroni/Pasta




Macaroni is a variety of dry pasta, originating from Italy. It is very easy to cook this. It can be serve as evening snacks or anytime if you want to eat some light food. Just try it once, you will surely like it as its delicious and doesn't take much time to cook it. 

Ingredients for Plain Tasty Macaroni/Pasta :

  • 1 Cup Macaroni/Pasta
  • 1 Capsicum 
  • 1 Onion
  • 1-2  Green Chili
  • 1/2 tsp Ajinomoto
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper Powder
  • 2 tsp Olive oil or any cooking oil
  • 1/2 tsp Oregano (Optional for garnish)
  • Salt as per taste

Method to make Plain Tasty Macaroni/Pasta :

  • Take a pan and heat oil into it.
  • Now add finely chopped green chili and thin slices of Onion into hot oil and sauté for a while.
  • Now add diced capsicum into pan and sauté for a while but don't cook much .
  • Now add macaroni, salt and ajinomoto into pan and sauté for a while . Now add 1 and 1/2 cup of water into pan , put a lid on pan and cook on medium flame. 
  • Boil the macaroni till it cook well and dry the excess water. 
  • Now serve into a plate or bowl and garnish with black pepper.You can also granish with Oregano ,this gives a really nice taste to macaroni.

Nutrela Rice or Soya Chunks Pulao

  Soya chunks are very good source of protein and fiber. This a good recipe for vegetarian lovers. This gives a nice taste when cooked with rice. You can serve it with pickle, curd, papad or salad. 

Ingredients for Nutrela Rice: 

  • 1 Cup Boiled Basmati Rice
  • 1 Cup Nutrela / Soya chunks
  • 1 Onion (thin slices or finely chopped)
  • 1 Tomato (finely chopped)
  • 1 Tea Spoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1 Tea Spoon Coriander Powder
  • 1/2 Tea Spoon Turmeric Powder (optional as color )
  • 1/4 Tea Spoon  Red Chili Powder
  • 2 Green Chili ( finely Chopped) 
  • 4-5 Cloves
  • 2-3 Cardamom 
  • 5-7 Black Pepper Seeds
  • 1 Tea Spoon Ginger ( Crushed)
  • 2 Table Spoon Cooking Oil or ghee
  • Salt (as per taste)
  • seasonal vegetables like peas, carrot , capsicum (These are optional as per intrest. I am not adding vegetables here )
  
  

Method to make Nutrela Rice or Soya Chunks Pulao

  • Wash and soak soya chunks in hot water with 1/4 tea spoon salt till 15 minutes. Now squeeze water and take them on a plate.  
  • Heat oil in a pan and cracker cumin seeds into hot oil. 
  • Now add Ginger, Cloves, Black Pepper  and crushed cardamom into pan it will give nice smell.
  • Add green chili and onion into pan.
  • Add nutrela or soya chunks and cook for 2-3 minutes .
  • At this moment you can add seasonal vegetables if required.
  • Now add tomatoes, coriander powder,turmeric powder, red chili powder and cook for 2 minutes. Tomatoes will become tender. 
  • Add cooked rice and salt as per taste now and mix well. 
  • Serve in a plate or bowl and garnish with some chopped coriander leaves.
