Poha

Recipe Type:



Poha is a very popular recipe for breakfast. It take very less time to cook . It is very good fr health as it takes low oil to cook.

Ingredients for poha:

  • Poha or Chiwda 200 gm.
  • Peanuts 1/2 cup (Roasted )
  • Potato 1
  • Green Chili 2
  • Mustard Seeds 1 tea spoon
  •  Onion 1 (For Granish )
  • Turmeric 1/2 tea spoon
  • Red chili powder 
  • Salt (as per taste)
  • Oil 2 tbsp



Method to cook Poha:

  • Take poha in bowl ,wash it and straing water quickly Now leave it for 10  minutes.
  • Peel potatoes ,cut into thin slices and wash them.
  • Finely chop green chilies . 
  • Take a pan and heat oil into it.
  • Crack mustard seeds int hot oil . Add green chilies into pan.
  • Now add potatoes into pan and roast it.
  • Add turmeric powder, red chili powder to potatoes and mix well.
  • Now add poha to the potatoes and mix well. When poha completely mixed with potatoes. Put a lid on pan and leave for 2 minutes on slow flame. 
  • Now  add peanuts to poha, mix wel and serve in a bowl or plate. Garnish with finely chopped onion.
